JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN

Looking for a safety-oriented journeyman electrician. We're a small local electrical contractor with customers throughout the state of CA. We're specifically looking for an MPU (Main Panel Upgrade) electrician.

The job consists of the following, but is not limited to this list:

  1. Four days of travel, mostly in SoCal, some Nor Cal jobs
  2. Hard start time at every job site of 7:30 AM, regardless of drive time
  3. Lunch to be taken on site (Brown bag, Uber eats, DoorDash), no leaving job site until inspection passed
  4. Install up to (2) 8' ground rods, grounding wire, bond cold, hot, gas pipe, and install intersystem grounding bridge
  5. Safely disconnect and safety off overhead/underground utility power (if HOT work allowed by utility)
  6. Remove existing MP, install new MPU (surface or flush mount)
  7. Install riser/mast, strap riser conduit, install flashing, weatherhead, and riser wires or shorten/extend, offset underground conduit
  8. Install properly sized breakers (AFCI breakers if MPU is relocated), Surge Protective Device, and legibly label panel
  9. PASS electrical release inspection, required at every MPU job
  10. Safely reconnect overhead/underground utility power, or wait till utility co. re-connects
  11. Pick up and load all job trash including removed panel, panel parts, riser, riser wire, etc. (No trash left behind)
  12. MPU work must be done within 8hrs
  13. Strict before/after pics and material used documentation needed, can't leave site until uploaded (NO EXCEPTIONS)
