Job summary

Tatitlek Technologies, Inc (TTI) is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance technician to service and repair electrical systems across buildings and properties in Arlington, VA. The role requires performing preventive maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure safety and efficiency.

The incumbent will read blueprints, coordinate with clients and vendors, and potentially obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in Commercial Facilities/Operations and Maintenance.
• Valid Journeyman Electrical License is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; active clearance preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring systems and distribution panels; fixtures and outlets.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HV Switch Gears, Transformers, and UPS systems.
• Assist with IR Thermography scanning of all power circuitry and document repairs.
• Document recommended follow-up repairs and keep daily logs and records.
• Read blueprints and schematics; source or fabricate replacement components.

Job description

Overview

Incumbent is responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, testing, troubleshooting, replacement of electrical components, and ensuring systems function safely and efficiently across all associated buildings and property.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs electrical wiring systems, related switches, distribution panels and outlet boxes, as well as a wide variety of electrical fixtures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on major electrical systems including High Voltage Switch Gears, Transformers, and Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems.
• Assist with IR Thermography scanning of all power circuitry in all facilities and perform follow‑up scanning to document successful repair of anomalies.
• Document recommended follow‑up repairs.
• Use test equipment such as voltmeters, amp probes, megger, etc., with outstanding eye‑hand coordination.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
• Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and suppliers.
• Respond to emergency repairs during non‑business hours.
• Assist electrical preventive maintenance during scheduled non‑business hours.
• Possess excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
• Read blueprints and schematics.
• Sourcing or fabricating replacement electrical components.
• Other work‑related duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, and Licensure

• Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in Commercial Facilities/Operations and Maintenance.
• Valid Journeyman Electrical License required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance mandatory; an active Secret or Top‑Secret clearance preferred.
• Maximo CMMS experience a plus but not required.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) skills a plus but not required.
• Thorough knowledge of operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment in the building.

Physical Requirements

Requires ability to maneuver around the building site, see, hear, and communicate with co‑workers and clients. Must maintain physical conditioning for sitting, walking, standing, lifting, pulling, twisting, reaching, squatting, stretching, bending. Must lift up to 60 pounds. Requires climbing ladders and scaffolding, handling hand tools, and working in hazardous positions.

DoD Secret or higher security clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.

Additional Qualifying Factors

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references, proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States.
