Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a construction laborer to construct and repair wood work and equipment on yard, industrial and commercial projects. You will use wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall, and operate hand and power tools to erect and repair structures in variable weather conditions.

Responsibilities include estimating sizes and quantities, inspecting work for compliance with plans, and following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions clearly.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair structural wood work and equipment in yard, industrial and commercial properties.
• Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
• Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
• Estimating sizes, distances, quantities, or time, costs, resources or materials needed.
• Inspect subordinates' work for compliance with plans and specifications and correct as needed.
