Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Carpenter for the Materials and Fuels Complex. The role focuses on fabricating and installing wood structures, repairing facilities and reading blueprints. Expect training in radiation and safety, and work under BEA requirements.

Work is on a 4x10 schedule at the MFC with Fridays off. DOE clearance and a valid state driver’s license are required for ongoing employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 10 years of relevant carpentry, cabinetry and maintenance work experience.
• Journeyman-level carpenter certification or status.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install wood structures, frames, platforms and scaffolding.
• Repair facilities and components and perform concrete finishing and core drilling.
• Read blueprints and technical documents; follow BEA-required training and qualifications.
• Direct work per procedures and supervisor directions; perform various carpentry tasks.
