Job summary

LONG Building Technologies is seeking a Journeyman/Controls Electrician to install BAS systems on customer sites in Wyoming. You will work within the Building Intelligence Unit and support installation of controllers, field devices, cabling, and DDC/BAS drawings while adhering to union guidelines.

You will read schematics, coordinate with onsite teams, train apprentices, and participate in job-site meetings. The role requires overtime flexibility and occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Journeyman Electrical License and be familiar with building codes.
• Able to read wiring schematics, blueprints, and DDC/BAS drawings.
• Willing to work overtime, variable shifts, and occasional travel.
• Strong mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Install controllers, field devices, electrical cable, conduit systems (EMT, GRC, PVC, etc.).
• Stay familiar with installation materials and control devices, their function, use, and proper mounting & installation.
• Work independently and coordinate job installation with onsite personnel, seeking guidance when needed.
• Report discrepancies between LONG drawings and equipment onsite.
• Attend product training to maintain control knowledge.
• Update Blue Beam to capture design changes.
• Provide training and support to apprentice electricians.
• Attend job site coordination meetings.
