Job summary

PACK Power, LLC is seeking a construction supervisor to coordinate and execute high/medium voltage construction activities, ensuring safety, quality and productivity on assigned tasks. The role includes nationwide project opportunities and a per diem to assist with living expenses while on assignment.

Supported by a company culture emphasizing teamwork and reliability, the position involves leading 1–3 apprentices, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring work progresses on schedule.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of related construction experience.
  • Training and experience in electrical/high voltage substations preferred.
  • Experience with LV systems, blueprints, and control wiring terminations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all company safety policies and procedures and lead team to do the same.
  • Leads a team of 1-3 apprentices/laborers in safe and productive construction activities.
  • Ensure workers under them perform their duties skillfully and efficiently.
  • Make certain the assigned work progresses on schedule.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
  • Assist Senior Journeyman with inventory, tracking, and forecasting of materials.
  • May travel to different jobsites on short notice.
  • Preplanning daily activities and monitoring tasks.
  • May confer with jobsite superintendent and/or foreman to coordinate activities.

Location & Travel: This role offers nationwide opportunities based on project needs. In addition to your hourly pay, you’ll receive a daily per diem to assist with living expenses while on assignment.

Our High Voltage Division delivers comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions for critical electrical infrastructure across the utility, renewable energy, and industrial markets. Our expertise includes substations, switchyards, and transmission line systems ranging from distribution and medium voltage to extra‑high voltage (EHV).

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Promote and comply with all company safety policies and procedures and lead team to do the same.
  • Leads a team of 1-3 apprentices/laborers in the safe and productive construction activities.
  • Ensure that the workers under them do their job skillfully and efficiently.
  • Make certain the assigned work progresses on schedule.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
  • Assist Senior Journeyman with inventory, tracking, and forecasting of materials.
  • Deal with the routing of material and equipment and with the laying out of the areas of work.
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measures.
  • May confer with jobsite superintendent and/or foreman to coordinate activities of individual projects.
  • May complete required equipment maintenance report and equipment/materials transfer reports.
  • Preplanning daily activities and monitoring tasks.
  • Monitor small tooling maintenance and storage and site materials.
  • Complete required employee documentation when required.
  • Required to travel to different jobsites on a limited notice.
Education and Work Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three or more years of related experience in construction.
  • Training and experience in electrical/high voltage substations preferred.
  • Experience with LV systems, blueprints, and control wiring terminations preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day‑to‑day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward safety principles.
  • Read blueprints skillfully.
  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and work within timelines.
  • Read, comprehend and write simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Present information in small group situations to customers and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
