Job summary

The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, MI is seeking a Journeyman Millwright - Represented/Tariff to troubleshoot and repair rotating equipment on site. You will perform preventive maintenance, install/relocate equipment, and support reliability initiatives.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, ability to work weekends/holidays, OT readiness, a 4-10 or 5-8 shift, and US work authorization. The role requires safe operation in diverse environments and leadership when guiding

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays if required.
• Overtime availability and 4-10 or 5-8 shift options with occasional overtime.
• US driver’s license required; must be able to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe maintenance on rotating equipment: pumps, compressors, agitators, seals, hoists, etc.
• Bolt/unbolt piping and equipment with proper torque and gasketing techniques.
• Work safely in shop, process areas, and outdoor environments in all weather.
• Complete required training and data entries to support reliability efforts.
• Participate in safety meetings and safety improvements.
• Oversee Millwright Apprentices and provide directions when needed.
• Fabricate parts when not commercially available using standard tools.
• Diagnose needs and perform running adjustments, repairs, and overhauls.
