Job description

Position: Journey-Level Lineworker (Journeyman/Lineman)

Location: Beaverton Operations Center

Rate of Pay: $66.23

Hours: Monday - Friday / 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Responsibilities:
  1. Work safely and adhere to safety regulations.
  2. Construct and maintain overhead and underground transmission and distribution circuits, including installing and removing transformers, arresters, fuses, cutouts, switches, and street-lighting equipment.
  3. Operate equipment such as articulated boom trucks, ladder trucks, and pole-digging machinery.
  4. Perform pole-top rescue and climb poles as needed.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Journeyman Lineman card required.
  2. Hot stick experience required.
  3. Valid CDL driver's license required.
  4. Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards required.
  5. Ability to climb poles.

This position is covered under DOT and FMCSA regulations as per 49 CFR Part 40, 380, 390, and 391. If employed by PGE for less than 3 years, a supplemental application will be required, including employment history and references.

During the probationary period, at least two progress reports will be completed and discussed with the employee.

Additional Information:

Salary range: $66.23 - $66.23, with starting pay as listed above. Compensation may include step increases based on tenure and collective bargaining agreements.
