Qualifications

  • Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of print and digital publishing experience; STM publishing preferred.
  • Experience in defining product requirements for high traffic journal websites.
  • Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience in management and execution of major projects with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee editorial development of journals through liaison with authors, editors, societies and teams.
  • Ensure timely on-schedule publication of journal titles.
  • Develop and execute the strategy of the Wolters Kluwer Health publishing program with leadership.
  • Identify strategic priorities from industry trends and opportunities for differentiation.
  • Gathers and analyzes performance data and KPIs to prepare reports for associations and boards.
  • Manage journal/portfolio P&Ls to meet ROI targets; participate in budgeting/forecasting.
  • Drive new contracts and renewal negotiations including financial analysis.
  • Maintain and enhance value proposition to increase submissions and impact.
  • Collaborate to develop journal processes, features, and services.
  • Promote portfolio visibility via conferences, meetings, and marketing.
