Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in Missouri seeks a team member for feeder packer, graphic or shipping utility roles. You will perform and document quality audits, verify job completion, check job sheets, learn to make-ready machines, monitor carton quality, and maintain materials for production.

You will follow safety rules, use basic measurement devices, operate tests such as Chatillon, Mettler PM 480, and Fluke thermometer, and may need pallet jack certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and use basic measurement devices (calculator, tape measure, ruler).
• Able to learn to operate testing devices (Chatillon, Mettler PM 480, Fluke IR Thermometer).
• Pallet jack certification is a plus.
• General mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

This role can include Feeder Packer, Graphic and/or Shipping Utility positions.

The Opportunity:

• Perform and document quality audits, verify job completion, understand job sheet. Check job specifications to carton, learn to Make-ready machine, monitor carton quality, maintain materials for production, complete necessary reports (forms), maintain housekeeping to standards set by management, complete line clearance and additional job duties as assigned by department manager.
• Compliance with all workplace rules, policies and procedures, i.e. SQF, safety, etc.
• Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, ear plugs, Appropriate Gloves, Safety Shoes, Hair and Beard net if applicable, Bump Caps if applicable and Level 7 Sleeves if Applicable

What You Need to Succeed:

• Ability to use and read basic measurement devices, (calculator, tape measure, and rule

• Pallet jack certification is a plus
• General mechanical aptitude
