Job summary

Athenix Special Missions, LLC seeks a Joint SOF Trainer (Logistics-C4I) III at Hurlburt Field, Florida, to support SOF exercises and staff planning. The candidate will ensure training relevance, coordinate across USSOCOM entities, and craft high-fidelity exercise materials for joint operations.

Responsibilities include designing scenarios, scripting events, and applying ADDIE to develop training content for in-person and online delivery, while maintaining security and compliance with DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of communications experience or Associate’s degree with 13 years of communications experience.
• 7+ years’ (5 years recent) experience in exercise design, scenario development, and management of Joint Life Cycle (JELC) events.
• Minimum of 4 years coordinating with training audience and developing realistic scenarios.
• Minimum of 3 years in real world Operational Headquarters (SOJTF, CJSOTF, CJSOAC).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications connectivity with KU/X/KA Band Satellite systems, UHF/VHF, data systems, mesh networking, and COP apps.

Responsibilities

• Maintain currency and awareness of SOF and Joint Enterprise training requirements through research of DoD instructions and joint doctrine.
• Maintain relationships with planners and leaders across USSOCOM HQs and Joint Staff to support exercise design and execution.
• Support exercise design, JELC planning, scenario scripting, and staff training.
• Apply ADDIE model to determine training needs and create training materials and scripts for in-person and online delivery.
• Create/review event concepts including purpose, objectives, and scenario characteristics to support the sponsor’s mission.
• Prepare materials and orders for multinational training audiences within export controls.
