Job summary

Stryker Corporation in Stamford, CT, is hiring a Field-based Clinical Specialist for Joint Replacement. You will gain hands-on experience with Mako SmartRobotics and manual orthopedic procedures, assisting surgeons with pre-operative planning, case preparation, CT-based sizing, and real-time intraoperative workflows to ensure safe, accurate outcomes.

You will shadow experienced teammates, support product demonstrations, and participate in labs and education programs, while building relationships

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree OR Associate degree with 4 years of professional and/or related experience OR High school diploma with 6 years of professional and/or related experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of relevant work experience. Previous clinical experience (nursing, physical therapy, surgical technology, athletic training, personal training, medical scribing, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Gain competency in solo case coverage for manual and robotic procedures through hands-on training.
• Assist surgeons with pre-operative CT-based planning, implant sizing, and positioning using advanced software to ensure accurate results.
• Support full case preparation, including instrumentation checks, equipment setup, and OR readiness.
• Troubleshoot technical issues confidently in the operating room and maintain workflow integrity.
• Shadow experienced teammates to understand territory dynamics and surgeon preferences.
• Provide on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays to support urgent cases.
