Job summary

CGS is seeking a Joint Operations Center Analyst (JOCA) – SME to support SAP and compartmented projects across intelligence disciplines. You will fuse indications from multiple sources to develop strategic insights and support routine operations and exercises for the enterprise.

Responsibilities include leading SME-level JOC operations, producing high‑quality briefings and papers, mentoring junior operators, and coordinating with higher, adjacent, and subordinate organizations to drive decision

Qualifications

• Eight years of operational/Command and Control experience.
• Five years with Special Operations units or similar agencies.
• Five years in JOC/Command Center operations.
• Five years delivering operational briefings at high O-6 to O-8 levels.
• Experience with interagency concepts and DoD C2 operations.
• Knowledge of COP tools to maintain JOC displays and meetings.
• Experience writing AMHS messages and coordinating with Government partners.
• Proficient in standard software applications and web browsers.
• Deployable up to 90 days per year; DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.

• Process messages from NMCC and manage EMNS for the enterprise.
• Support JOC operations, Command Center functions, and recall procedures.
• Produce operational products and briefings; support decision-making.
• Mentor junior operators and act as interface between organizations.
• Utilize analytical techniques and tools for current and future operations.
• Create high-quality technical and non-technical operational briefs and papers.
• Plan, research, and organize operational analysis for operations.
• Provide reports and presentations to inform the command.
• Control multimedia displays and VTC for key leader meetings.
• Support planning and execution of global special operations.
• Monitor operations to synchronize warfighting efforts and deadlines.

CGS is seeking a skilledJoint Operations Center Analyst (JOCA) – Subject Matter Expert to support routine, Special Access Program (SAP), and compartmented projects, operations, and exercises for all intelligence disciplines. In this role you will identify and fuse global indications and operational (I&O) warnings from all operational disciplines to draw conclusions, make inferences, and develop deep understanding, spanning tactical to strategic relevance within your assigned portfolio.

Skills and attributes for success:

• Process messages from the National Military Command Center and manage the Emergency Management Notification System (EMNS) for the enterprise
• Utilize expert knowledge from the Department of Defense operational plans and Special Operations Forces organization to support missions and communications planning and techniques and adhere to directives and practices governing the security management of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility and handling of classified material
• Support SME level JOC operations, Command Center functions, AMHS messages, recall procedures and deployment processes
• Use conclusions, inferences, and deep understanding to produce operational support products, drive battle rhythm events, collaborate with counterparts higher, adjacent, and subordinate organizations, inform current and future operations, and advise decision-makers
• Serve as the lead interface between higher, adjacent, and subordinate organizations and technical experts with primary analytical responsibility over their assigned portfolios and may mentor/guide more junior operators
• Use subject matter expertise in proven analytical techniques and current analytical tools
• Demonstrate expert proficiency in producing high-quality comprehensive technical and non-technical operational products (assessments, papers, presentations) and can prepare and present formal or informal briefings
• Provide: planning, research, conduct, review, evaluation, and organization of operational analysis to support current or future operations
• Support critical operational information reports, in addition to briefings and assessments based on their analysis, in the form of papers, presentations, and other media shall be required to both inform the command and to drive decision making
• Possess the technical expertise to control and manipulate multi-media display systems and video teleconference systems to enable key leader meetings as required
• Provide sensitive operational analysis and production in direct support of the planning and execution of current and future global special operations or other operations in support of higher headquarters priorities and the National Defense Strategy
• Monitor ongoing operations and programs to ensure synchronization of Operations Center and warfighting efforts and take appropriate actions expeditiously to meet enterprise directed suspense

Qualifications:

• At least eight (8) years of operational/Command and Control experience
• At least five (5) years of experience working for or with Special Operations units, such as USSOCOM, USASOC, AFSOC, JSOC or other agencies
• At least five (5) years of experience in JOC and Command Center Operations
• At least five (5) years of experience preparing and delivering operational briefings at the Colonel to General (O-6 to O-8) level
• Experience with interagency concepts and principles, Department of Defense military command and control operations, geographical areas of responsibility
• Experience and knowledge of Common Operational Picture (COP) Tools to maintain continuous JOC displays and facilitate key operational meetings
• Experience writing AMHS messages and releasing as required dealing with other Government agencies, Department of State, Combatant Commands and USSOCOM
• SME experience using standard commercial software applications and web browsers (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Mozilla Firefox, etc.)
• Be deployable for up to 90 days per year on a recurring basis, not to exceed 179 days in a one-year period
• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI
