Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) System Administrator

The Opportunity:
CACI is hiring a Systems Administrator experienced with JMPS (Joint Mission Planning System) for our customer in Omaha, Nebraska!

Responsibilities:
• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot multiple JMPS instances
• Work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical approach for challenging integration issues
• Communicate progress against plans to senior engineers and project managers, including identifying risks, opportunities, and dependencies
• Use Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/Git to manage work and collaborate with your teams
• Support creation and updating of all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development and testing
• Identify potential roadblocks and develop around them

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field and 4+ years of system administration experience. 6+ years of experience is sufficient in lieu of bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency using and administering JMPS
• Proficiency administering Windows (e.g., installation, configuration, testing (functional and security), operations, maintenance, and system patching)
• Proficiency with virtualization (e.g., virtual machines, hypervisors, etc.)
• Proficiency with a scripting programming language (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• Proficiency with web application servers (e.g., Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Oracle WebLogic, etc.)
• Proficiency with an issue/problem tracking system (e.g., Jira)
• Proficiency with multiple operating systems (e.g., Windows, LINUX, etc.)
• Familiarity with configuring and managing SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL
• Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
• Team player who can express and explain their ideas to others
• Final DoD TS/SCI Clearance

Desired:

• Microsoft Azure, RHEL, and/or Windows Server certification
• Experience with containerization technology (Docker, Podman)
• Familiarity with implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
• Proficiency with configuration management techniques using Ansible
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (MS Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Experience with USSTRATCOM Nuclear Planning process
• Experience with the use of the Air Vehicle Planning System (APS)
• DOD 8570 IAT level 2 baseline certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:
