Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a JLVC-G Technician Sr to support MTCCS II program in the Pacific theater. The role involves integrating JLVC federates, managing DoW RMF processes, and ensuring interoperability of simulation systems for joint training exercises.

The individual will configure Linux/Windows environments, manage networks, and provide rapid problem solving during high-visibility exercises on customer sites with moderate travel.

Qualifications

• AA in a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training and certifications.
• 3+ years of related experience; preferred military experience at tactical to operational level.
• Experience configuring, maintaining, operating and integrating JLVC federate systems (JDLM, JCATS, JMECS, EXCIS, etc.).
• Strong understanding of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle.
• Understanding of HLA and RTI.
• Knowledge of DIS protocols.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Practical experience managing gateway services, federation interfaces, and simulation connectivity.
• Certification: CompTIA SEC+ certification required.
• Security Clearance Level: Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Joint Live Virtual Constructive-Gaming (JLVC-G) Technician Sr

GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, Delta Training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems. Establish /maintain training and exercise networks. Accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

• Integrate LVC systems so commanders and staff can train against realistic scenarios.
• Improve training realism by reducing simulation disconnects and technical limitations.
• Configure, document, test, troubleshoot, create, and/ or modify computer documentation related to Linux based simulation systems, to include MS Windows / Windows Servers, VMWare and Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation Server/ Bridges for training exercises.
• Ensure that Army and Joint simulations can exchange information and operate together.
• Responsible for applying system updates and quarterly patches/ IAVAs. Analyze, test, and/ or modify configurations and software programs to provide pertinent solutions to system users, based on and related to user or system design specifications.
• Responsible for planning, development, and execution of simulation training activities to include scheduling, exercise scenarios, user account management, workstation player/ controller training, exercise execution and participation in After Action Reviews.
• Implement the Department of War (DoW) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP/Risk Management Framework-DIACAP/ RMF), the standard process under which all DoW information Systems achieve and maintain their Authority To Operate (ATO).
• Provide rapid problem solving during high visibility exercises.
• Participates in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: AA in a related technical discipline, OR the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications and training
• Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience; preferred military experience at the tactical to operational level
• Required Technical Skills:

• Knowledgeable in JLVC network administration
• Must be able to lead a technical team to create a high fidelity, realistic training event in a Simulated and Constructive environment to meet customer requirements for distributed and multinational exercises
• Location: On Customer Site / moderate travel required to other customer sites throughout AoR

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $30.65 - $41.47. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
