Job summary

Celestar, a B&A Company, seeks a seasoned Joint Fires Electromagnetic Warfare Planner to deliver research, analysis, and rapid plans in support of USINDOPACOM from Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

The role requires deep EW expertise, strategic writing, and the ability to work independently or in teams to advance joint fires and electromagnetic spectrum operations across the Indo-Pacific region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years EW experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 10 years combined experience in EW operations, capability development, and/or policy.
  • 3+ years at a Combatant Command or Service Component HQ.
  • 3+ years in the Indo-Pacific AOR.
  • Experience with targeting and joint fires to support USINDOPACOM EW operations.
  • Familiar with INDOPACOM TCP, DELIB/CP, and OPLANS.
  • Experience writing reports, graphics, and information papers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and SharePoint; AI tools knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Joint Fires Division in integrating EW into planning efforts.
  • Assist senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including formal papers for USINDOPACOM leaders.
  • Research and analyze EW-related policies, military strategies, and capability integration for USINDOPACOM ops.
  • Apply experience in JEMSO to ensure freedom of action across the Indo-Pacific.

Joint Fires Electromagnetic Warfare Planner

Celestar, a B&A Company, is seeking an experienced and versatile Joint Fires Electromagnetic Warfare Planner to provide research, analysis, and rapid plans support to address new and emerging situations and threats across the Indo-Pacific in support of U.S Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) J3 Integrated Joint Fires Center (IJFC). This position is located at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Joint Fires Division in the Operations Directorate in the integration of Electromagnetic Warfare into planning efforts.
  • Provide assistance to the senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USINDOPACOM senior leaders' consumption.
  • Provide research and analysis of various EW-related national security policies, military strategies, and capability integration that support USINDOPACOM operations and exercises.
  • Have the experience and knowledge to support Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) that will ensure freedom of action and mission assurance in all domains throughout the Indo-Pacific.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of documented Electromagnetic Warfare experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 10 years' combined experience in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) operations, capability development, and/or policy.
  • At least 3 years' experience at a Combatant Command or Service Component HQ.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations (AOR).
  • Experience with targeting and joint fires to assist USINDOPACOM in developing, coordinating, and executing EW operations as part of the management and execution of the targeting plans and joint fires/effects within the Indo-Pacific AOR.
  • Familiar with INDOPACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS).
  • Experience in writing reports, graphics, and information papers.
  • Experience analyzing operational data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and SharePoint collaborative tools.
  • Knowledge and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in support of government client objectives (e.g. *GPT, GenAI, AskSage, MAVEN, Python, etc.).
Preferred
  • Master's Degree and/or attendance at the Service Command and General Staff College.
  • Experience coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and INDOPACOM's Service Components.
  • Graduate of Joint Electromagnetic Warfare Theater Operations Course.
  • Graduate of Joint Targeting Staff Course.
Security Clearance
  • An active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI Access
