Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL seeks a Joint Care Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality, efficient Med/Surg care as part of a supportive team. You will assess and plan patient care, instruct families on medications and treatments, and ensure records reflect tests and results.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (compact allowed with active FL license within 60 days), a nursing diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and a current BLS certification; acute care experience is strongly

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or eligible compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and communication skills; basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records including posting test results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
