Job description

The Division of Child Advocacy at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is seeking a Clinical Director for our Child Advocacy Program. The candidate will be the ninth faculty member of a highly respected Division of Child Advocacy. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Opportunity Details
  • Located in a hospital-based child advocacy center accredited by the National Children's Alliance (NCA)
  • Position involves communication with professionals across multiple jurisdictions
  • The medical staff evaluate children with suspected physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect in inpatient and outpatient settings, including community locations
  • Numerous teaching opportunities for medical students, residents, fellows, medical staff, and community partners
  • Our pediatrics residency program is among the top in the country; all residents spend two weeks at the Child Advocacy Center during their second year
  • Administrative and research responsibilities as desired
  • Last year, the team evaluated over 300 inpatients, conducted over 400 forensic interviews, and our ARCH clinic evaluated more than 1200 children
  • This role offers professional growth and development
  • Well-established practice with 8 Child Abuse Pediatricians and 5 Advanced Practice Providers
  • Physicians will rotate through inpatient consults and outpatient exams in our pediatric-friendly clinic
