We are searching for the best talent for Scientist, Translational ADME to be located in Spring House, PA.

Purpose: The Translational ADME In Vitro group is looking for a highly motivated Scientist to support drug discovery and development programs. Experience with sample preparation for analysis of radiolabeled compounds, LC-MS/MS analysis, and sample preparation using automated robotic platforms is desired. The ability to multitask and be flexible in a fast-paced environment is critical to this position. We are a highly motivated team, and our laboratories are state-of-the-art. As part of the global Translational ADME community within TPPIT, you will have access to a large arsenal of in silico, in vitro and in vivo tools and the vast expertise of colleagues at our various research sites in Belgium and the United States.

You will be responsible for:

  • Mammalian cell culture including preparation of culture/assay media, cell culture maintenance, and preparation of cell-based assay plates to meet the demand of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Support both the preclinical and clinical development organizations at J&J by performing transporter experiments based on established laboratory protocols and data processing procedures.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in (Molecular) Biology, Biotechnology or other related field is required.

Skills/Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 year of relevant experience

  • Experience in cell culture with proficient skills in standard mammalian cell culture procedures and associated aseptic techniques

  • Ability to conduct drug transporter experiments based on established laboratory protocols and data processing including basic calculations and data analysis.

  • Record keeping including electronic lab notebooks and all other pertinent documentation.

Preferred:

  • Experience in quantitative mass spectrometry.

  • A good understanding/Interest in DMPK relevant areas such as drug transporters and metabolizing enzymes, and pharmacokinetics.

  • Experience with cell-based assays (e.g., cell monolayer efflux assay, cellular uptake assay) would be an asset.

  • Experience in using laboratory equipment such as microplate readers, liquid scintillation counters and liquid handlers.
