Job summary

Transdev is seeking an experienced Bus Driver in Olathe, KS to ensure safe, reliable transportation with excellent passenger service. Eligible candidates can receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus and proceed through a pay scale from $26.62 to $30.10 per hour under the union agreement.

Starting pay is $26.62/hour with progression to $30.10/hour over four years. Benefits include medical, dental and vision after 30 days, paid training to obtain a Class B CDL, sick leave, 401k, and holidays after 90 days

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL (or permit).
• CDL Class B license with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety-focused operations following routes and schedules.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarkation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Uphold company policies, including seat belt enforcement and safety protocols.

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our elite team in Olathe, KS. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

$1,500 Sign-On Bonus – Available to New Hires

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety-Focused Operations: Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations.
• Passenger Care: Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all.
• Vehicle Vigilance: Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
• Adherence to Protocols: Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• 21 years or older
• Must hold a Valid CDL (or permit)
• Class A or B CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsements required. We are willing to train candidates with a permit
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
• Excellent communication & customer service skills.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
