Job description

Role Overview

The Retail Manager performs and directs the overall restaurant management and day-to-day operations. He/she directs staff to ensure that food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness standards are maintained; maintains standards of restaurant safety and security; recruits staff and oversees training programs; responsible for inventory and money control systems – may establish inventory schedules. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.

General Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policy are followed.
  • Recruit, train, and manage staff as needed.
  • Communicate changes of food preparation formulas, standards, etc. to staff.
  • Maintain business records as outlined in the Perkins Operations Manual.
  • Manage and track sales, net profit, and overall store business.
  • Support local and national marketing initiatives.
  • Identify and contact prospective customers to promote sales.
  • Serve prepared food at proper portions.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Be able to work at a quick pace.
  • Adhere to all HACCP regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage.
  • Adhere to uniform policy.
Requirements

Experience and Skill: A minimum of two years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

License or Certification: Serv Safe certification.

Education: High school or equivalent.

Physical: Lifting up to 20 pounds unassisted. Reaching, handling, seeing, standing, walking.
