Job description

$17.50-20.50/hour

Johnny’s is a fun, friendly place to work and shop. As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play an important role in maintaining this environment. Your support will ensure the smooth operation of the store during your shift, especially in caring for Johnny’s customers. You’ll also be in charge during second and third shifts and in the absence of the Store Manager, helping keep the store clean, stocked, safe, and attractive at all times.

What You’ll Do

• Set high standards for customer service, ensuring your team provides friendly, polite, and efficient service to every Johnny’s customer.
• Guide your team and maintain the store’s appearance.
• Handle HR responsibilities including training, scheduling, and supervising staff, in accordance with Johnny’s HR policies and employment laws.
• Work towards store sales goals while managing operating expenses.
• Collaborate professionally with suppliers and vendors.
• Address customer complaints promptly and courteously to ensure satisfaction.
• Manage store documentation and communicate with Johnny’s home office as needed.

What You’ll Need

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and vendors.
• Attention to detail, adaptability, and multi-tasking abilities.
• A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for work-related tasks.
• A college degree, two years of related experience, or equivalent training.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Willingness to work in any store area and operate a computerized register.
• Physical ability to bend, stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and carry up to 10 lbs. frequently.
