A county services agency in Boulder, Colorado is hiring an Operations Manager to lead the Joe Pelle Center. This full-time position includes overseeing operational staff, managing vendor contracts, and ensuring facility security. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 9 years of combined experience including 1 year in a supervisory role within the criminal justice system. This role is integral to client rehabilitation and public safety.
Boulder County Community Services Department is seeking to hire the Joe Pelle Center (JPC) Operations Manager. This position provides leadership and oversight of all operational aspects of the Community Justice Services Joe Pelle Center, a secure 252-bed facility. The role includes supervision of operational staff, management of vendor contracts essential to daily operations, and ensuring adherence to public safety protocols. In addition to maintaining facility security, this position plays a critical role in supporting client rehabilitation by overseeing offender management strategies focused on accountability, behavioral change, and successful community reintegration. Serves as a key point of contact for law enforcement, county departments, and external agencies.

This is a full-time, benefited position that will work Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, hours vary based on workload need. This position will work out of 3260 Airport Rd., Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $83,844.00 - $120,732.00 Annually
Tentative Hiring Timeline:
New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month. (Must not have been employed at Boulder County during the 12 months prior to re-hire date to qualify.) Boulder County also offers abundant benefits, including pension contributions.

In this position, we are looking for a minimum of 9 (nine) years of combined education and experience, including 1 (one) year of experience in a criminal justice supervisory role.
