Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of complex jobs, including production workflow, equipment, raw materials, and manpower needed to cover production demand.
  • Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Purchasing raw materials, components, and services to meet the production and customer requirements.
  • Monitoring costs to ensure jobs stay within budget.
  • Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.
  • Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management.
  • Handling production disruptions and productivity problems.
  • Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes.
  • Monitoring jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
  • Sourcing, negotiating, and selecting vendors that meet the company’s quality, price, and delivery requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Monitoring supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Reviewing and analyzing purchase requisitions and generating purchase orders.
  • Monitoring inventory levels to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of items and following up with vendors on late orders.
  • Resolving invoice discrepancies with vendors.
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Preparing reports on purchase activity and supplier performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, mechanical or industrial engineering, supply chain management, or related experience with a minimum of a high school diploma.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of industrial/manufacturing planning and quality control principles.
  • Experience in JobBoss (ERP/Shop Management Software).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
  • High mathematical aptitude and analytical abilities.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
