Job summary

TEK-Engineers is seeking an experienced Telecom Core Network Engineer in the Dallas area to design, implement, troubleshoot, and migrate policy and charging functions across 4G/LTE, VoLTE, and 5G core networks.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in telecom core networks, strong PCRF/EPC expertise, and hands-on scripting in Shell/Python/Perl on RedHat Linux. Kubernetes/VMware experience and protocol analysis with Wireshark are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in telecom core networks and PCRF/EPC.
• Experience with 4G/LTE/VoLTE/5G core and related service flows.
• Knowledge of S11, Gn, Gi, Gx, Gy, RX interfaces.
• Proficiency with network protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark.
• 3GPP Policy control (PCEF, PCRF) and virtualization (VMware).
• Experience with LTE/IMS/VoLTE call flows; Diameter and Radius are a plus.
• RedHat Linux experience.
• Automation/scripting in Shell, Python, or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, troubleshoot, and migrate PCRF/EPC policy and charging functions across 4G/LTE, VoLTE, and 5G core networks.
• Work across 4G/LTE, VoLTE, and 5G core networks and migration activities.
• Perform protocol analysis and troubleshooting using Wireshark.
• Automate deployment and monitoring tasks using scripting on Linux.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Core Network Engineer with strong expertisein Nokia PCRF and Mobility Evolved Packet Core (EPC) technologies. The idealcandidate will have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, troubleshooting,and migrating policy and charging functions across 4G/LTE, VoLTE, and 5G Corenetworks. This role requires deep understanding of 3GPP policy control, networkinterfaces, and protocol analysis, along with scripting and Linux experience forautomation and monitoring.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors and minimum of 5+ years of experience and following related experience:

• Experience in handling software developer experience for Products NokiaPCRF. Designing, implementing and troubleshoot for Mobility Evolved PacketCore (EPC/4G/LTE/VoLTE/ 5G core) associated service flows.
• Experience on the user data interworking and participate in migrationactivities for reference points and service-based interfaces for PCRF/PCEFinterworking using MOPs.
• Experience in handling communications and data network protocols,parameters, and interfaces: S11, Gn, Gi, Gx, Gy, RX. Expert level knowledge ofPolicy and Control Charging Functions.
• In-depth working knowledge of network protocol analyzers such asWireshark.
• Experience with 3GPP Policy control (PCEF, PCRF) and VMWare virtualization.
• In-depth understanding of LTE, IMS/VoLTE and their respective call flows, thisincludes Diameter and Radius is preferred.
• RedHat Linux experience
• Experience in scripting, shell, Pearl, python or equivalent from an automationand monitoring standpoint required.

Education/Experience :

Master’s Degree Desirable

Bachelor’s degree Required.
