Job summary

Role Description

This full-time, on-site role is based in Bainbridge , Ohio at Small Hands Big Dreams Learning Center. The role involves supporting the daily care, supervision, and education of children in age-appropriate classrooms, following established curriculum and learning activities. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing environment, monitoring children’s wellbeing, and assisting with meals, rest periods, and routine care. The role also includes communicating regularly with families about their child’s progress, partnering with colleagues and leadership to support center operations, and adhering to all licensing, health, and safety guidelines. Team members are expected to participate in staff meetings and training, contribute to a positive workplace culture, and uphold the center’s values of empathy, respect, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in preschool, childcare, or early childhood education settings; understanding of age-appropriate developmental milestones and classroom management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with children, families, and team members; ability to build trusting, respectful relationships.
• Commitment to safety, security, and wellbeing, including adherence to health, sanitation, and licensing regulations; attention to detail in supervising children and maintaining the environment.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple classroom tasks, daily routines, documentation, and parent communications efficiently.
• Ability to work on-site in Bainbridge , OH, in a full-time schedule; reliability, flexibility, and willingness to support families with varying needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain); background check eligibility as required by state and regulatory agencies.
