Job summary

The Pictsweet Company is seeking sanitation workers to join our team in Kentucky. Successful candidates will be able to walk, carry, and climb ladders with cleaning equipment; willing to work in hot and cold temperatures with attention to detail.

Shift begins around 1:30 AM and ends around 11:00 AM, with potential overtime. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with employer match, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand SDS, cleaning instructions and GMP standards.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in writing.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize and clean plant equipment and facility surfaces (floors, walls, ceilings, and machines).
• Complete daily cleaning tasks and report findings to supervisor.
• Follow GMP guidelines and SDS requirements.
• Use cleaning agents per SDS; comply with PPE policies.
• Maintain cleaning schedule and ensure lock-out/tag-out standards are met.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
• Clean and sanitize food-processing equipment; clean tools and accessories.

Overview

The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are currently looking for sanitation workers to join our team! Successful candidates will be able to walk, carry and climb ladders with cleaning equipment. Candidates must be willing to work in hot and cold temperatures and attention to small details is necessary.

Shift begins at appoximatly 1:30 AM and ends at approximatly 11AM, with potential for overtime.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:

• Will be responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of plant equipment and the facility structure (e.g. floors, overhead pipes).
• This position will be required to accurately complete daily cleaning responsibilities and report findings to the supervisor.
• Comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines.
• Comply with SDS requirements (proper use of cleaning agents).
• Comply with Pictsweet’s personal protective equipment policies.
• Ensure cleaning schedule is followed properly.
• Complies with lock-out/tag-out policy and ensures equipment meets lock-out/tag-out standards before sanitation work begins.
• All other duties assigned by supervision.
• Cleans and sanitizes food-processing equipment.
• Responsible for cleaning tools and accessories.
• Cleans floors, walls, ceiling, equipment and machines in accordance with standards.

Qualifications

Cognitive & Psychological:

• Must be able to read and understand SDS, cleaning instructions and GMP standards.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in writing.

Physical:

• Operate sanitation equipment, such as power equipment and foam sprayer.
• Must be able to lift up 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, and walk for an extended period.

Other:

• Must be willing to work extended hours as needed (including weekends and holidays).
