Job summary

Cretex Companies, Inc. seeks a motivated intern to support manufacturing and warehousing operations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. You will implement a barcode system, develop work instructions, and collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams across Cretex sites in Brooklyn Park and Dassel, MN.

You will map workflows, assist in ERP integration, configure hardware/software, and create technical documentation while ensuring compliance with ISO and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four-year degree program in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Technical Communication, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication across diverse audiences (engineers, IT, operators, and management).
• Basic IT and networking knowledge; familiarity with barcode technologies.
• Excellent technical writing and editing skills for multiple audiences.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, process flows, and equipment manuals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; Publisher).
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, and curious.

Responsibilities

• Map current workflows, handling, and data collection methods to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in designing the barcode system implementation, including hardware selection, labeling conventions, and ERP integration by defining data fields for handheld scanners.
• Configure, test, deploy, and support hardware and software in production and warehouse environments.
• Interview subject-matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information.
• Create and revise documentation such as work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and training materials, including diagrams, images and flowcharts.
• Maintain version control of all technical documents.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality System, ISO standards, and medical device regulations.
• Follow established work instructions and standard operating procedures.

Pay Range

USD $25.00 - USD $25.00 /Yr.

Pay Range Details

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
