Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Compensation: $20–$26 per hour

Language Differential: Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are eligible for an additional $4.00/hour

Job Summary

We’re seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is passionate about inclusive healthcare and committed to promoting equity, customer service, and collaboration. Join a team that provides comprehensive services including HIV treatment, HIV prevention (PrEP and PEP), STI treatment and prevention, and a full range of sexual health services.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist patients in getting to their room, collect vital signs and document medical histories and current medications.
  • Perform phlebotomy and administer medications, including injections.
  • Collect specimens for in-office and external lab testing.
  • Assist providers with clinical procedures and technical tasks.
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, triage patient inquires, and complete documentation.
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional environment; ensure cleanliness and organization of a clinical spaces and waiting areas.
  • Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
  • De-escalate and manage challenging situations in a professional, patient-centered manner.
  • Participate in required training (e.g., HIV prevention, Nashville CARES initiatives).
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and clinic operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

  • Current CMA or LPN license in Tennessee (Required).
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification (Required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting (Strongly Preferred).
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (Preferred; please specify your experience).
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (Strongly Preferred) – eligible for pay differential.
  • Ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Nashville, TN 37204 before the start date.
