Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or food production experience.
  • Forklift certification preferred (required for advanced level); willingness to obtain certification.
  • Age 18 or older.
  • Mechanical aptitude for operating, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
  • Basic SAP, hand scanners, and basic math; advanced MII and WE systems for higher levels.
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Teamwork, leadership, training ability; capable of leading improvement projects.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk up to 90% of shift; color-coded container handling.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain rail and truck machinery; perform routine operation checks.
  • Execute equipment changes, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs; sanitize after changes.
  • Use SAP, IQS, MII, and Weaver to manage packaging, inventory, shipments, and quality data.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSMA and food safety policies; maintain cleanliness.
  • Lead FSQ compliance in area; mentor on food safety and sanitation.
  • Coordinate team activities; assign tasks, lead shift meetings, train others.
  • Participate in 5S efforts; act as 5S champion; lead improvement projects and operator maintenance.
  • Complete basic production paperwork; report issues to supervisors.

  • Execute equipment changeovers, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs; ensure proper sanitation after changeovers.
  • Use SAP, IQS, MII, and Weaver systems to keep packaging flowing and record inventory, shipments, and quality results.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSMA and company food safety policies; maintain cleanliness and sanitation; complete sanitation steps during changeovers.
  • Lead FSQ compliance in assigned area; mentor team members on food safety and enforce sanitation accountability.
  • Coordinate team activities; assign tasks, lead shift meetings, and train others in advanced operations.
  • Participate in 5S efforts; act as 5S champion; lead improvement projects, perform operator‑based maintenance, and analyze downtime causes.
  • Accurately complete basic production paperwork and report issues to supervisors.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing or food production.

  • Basic proficiency in SAP, hand scanners, and basic math skills; advanced proficiency in MII and WE systems for higher levels.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Teamwork, leadership, and training ability; ability to develop and lead improvement projects.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand and walk up to 90% of shift, carry, reach, and use color‑coded containers.
Physical Demands and Safety
  • Stand, walk, climb, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach, twist, turn, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; maintain good hand‑eye coordination, motor skills, and 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Must have normal hearing and vision; must distinguish colors for color‑coded containers.
  • Must wear required PPE and follow safety policies, including lock‑out/tag‑out.
  • Exposure to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical risks, and vibrations based on area assigned.
