Job summary

Tate Boys Tire & Auto Service in Broken Arrow, OK seeks a General Service Technician to perform oil changes, tire service, and light maintenance, while assisting with parts and shop cleanliness.

You'll work with a family-friendly team that values safety, quality and customer service. Pay ranges from $16 to $19 per hour based on experience, with benefits, vacation, holidays, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess current, valid driver's license.
• Possess current or expired State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date.
• Under the hood, mechanical and under carriage assemblies understanding.
• Ability to work Monday - Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Tire mounting, dismounting, balancing & rotation.
• Oil changes and other light vehicle maintenance.
• Multi-point inspections & documenting vehicle conditions.
• Keeping the shop clean, organized, and safe.
• Requires driving vehicles in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisor.
• Supporting team members with other assigned tasks.
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values, and all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Sun Auto Tire & Service Employee Handbook

TheGeneral Service Technicianis responsible for conducting non-technical automotive service repairs such as oil changes, tire and wheel related services as well as driving customers, picking up parts, and maintaining the cleanliness of the shop as needed.

COMPENSATION: $16-$19 per hour, depending on your experience and skill set.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

The General Service Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.

The General Service Technician must be able to meet the following physical requirements:

• Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
• Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Hear and speak
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
