Overview

The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are currently looking for a CDL Truck Driver to join our team!

Responsibilities

Duties are not inclusive and are subject to change at management’s discretion.

• Responsible for the safe operation of a variety of vehicles, including “yard dog” trucks, tractor-trailers, bobtails, tractors, flatbeds, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Hook-up of yard truck to product trailers, including backing up under fifth wheel, hooking-up air lines, ensuring trailer brakes lock.
• Placement of product trailers in designated unloading areas, including chocking and unhooking trailers.
• Maintains Freshpack loading area in an organized manner to facilitate product flow and dock vehicle traffic.
• Operates scales and ensures proper recordkeeping of product weight and delivery information.
• May load and haul pallets, materials, and equipment to locations in the local area.
• Conducts a thorough safety inspection of equipment prior to use.
• Performs duties as general labor, forklift driver, and rake operator when not needed to operate trucks.
• Inspect trailer seals and all incoming paperwork match.
• Verify incoming product is on the field verification form.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area. Sweeps, pickups litter, discarded materials, provides wash down of area, etc.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Must have a current CDL driver’s license and maintain the license as a condition of employment. Must have an acceptable driving record.
• One year of commercial truck driving experience preferred.
• Forklift experience.

Cognitive & Psychological:

• Able to read and write.
• Achieve satisfactory assessment score for forklift driver.

Physical:

• Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area. (Sweeps, picks up litter, discarded materials, provides wash down area, etc.)
• Must pass DOT physical
• Must be able to lift (up to 50 pounds)
• Must be able to bend, reach, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Other:

• Must pass Pictsweet’s forklift certification program.
• Successfully minimum 20/40 vision test.
• Must be willing to work extended hours as needed (including weekends and holidays).
