Job summary

Goodwill South Florida is seeking a Business Services Supervisor at the Goodwill Main Plant in Miami, FL. The role partners with the Placement Manager to plan, organize, and supervise the job placement and supported employment department, and to train and supervise Business Services Specialists.

The position requires a 4-year degree, 6–8 years in human services, and 3–5 years of supervisory experience, with bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in the Human Service field.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; 3–5 years supervisory experience acceptable in lieu.
• Experience in assessing work experience, education, transferable skills, barriers to employment, and counseling.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the job placement and supported employment department.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, developing, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; coordinating LOA when applicable.
• Ensure staff accurately review documentation to determine each participant’s program eligibility.
• Oversee staff as they provide case management, counseling, crisis intervention, and placement services.
• Conduct monthly case staffing to ensure progress on participant’s case plan goals.
• Engage regularly with program funders to ensure programming requirements are met.
• Coordinate meetings with prospective employers for participant placement.
• Monitor program authorizations for billing and ensure monthly reports and program plans are completed.
• Manage records of department services and submit periodic reports on program status.
• Submit placement follow-up, satisfaction surveys, and compliance requirements.
