An established educational institution is seeking a dedicated Job Placement Specialist to support students in their transition from school to work. This role involves close collaboration with case managers and adult service agencies, ensuring students receive the guidance they need to thrive in a work environment. You will assist students in vocational labs, maintain student records, and act as a liaison between students and local businesses. POSITION: Job Placement Specialist (FVEC) 37.5 hours/week
SALARY: Grade 4, Step 1, $25.83 Salary schedule is listed in the ESPA agreement linked here.
ASSIGNMENT: 10 Month Temporary & Grant Funded Effective August 11, 2025 - Contract may be renewed annually pending grant funding.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This work involves close interaction with case managers and adult service agencies to coordinate student transition from school to work and adult services. A Job Placement Specialist provides a school-based service, designated by an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in a community-based off-site job-training site. These take place in a public setting. An employee in this position is expected to exercise discretion and react appropriately in crisis situations as well as exhibit initiative and creativity.
An employee in this position works with clearly established systems and procedures, must exhibit organizational skills and exercise independent judgment and confidentiality in the performance of duties. The Job Placement Specialist must exhibit initiative and embrace a collaborative team approach to accomplish the mission of the district.
