Job Description

Automation Personnel Services is looking for dedicated Forklift Operators, Cherry Pickers, Stand-up Reach, and Hyster operators for companies based in Baytown, Channelview, LaPorte, and Pasadena, TX. In this role, you will primarily operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers, stack pallets, and stage pallets or large containers for shipping.

Pay Rate: $15.00-$19.76 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule and Hours: Various schedules available

Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities

1. Inspect, unload, and store products from inbound trailers, containers, and railcars using a forklift.
2. Pick orders and load products onto trailers, containers, and railcars.
3. Utilize material handling technology, such as scanners, to maximize efficiency and maintain accurate inventory.

Forklift Operator Requirements and Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shifts.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills for accurate counts and paperwork.
• Ability to operate technology equipment, including RF scanners, to manage inventory.
• Previous lift truck experience, including loading/unloading trailers, preferred.
• Experience operating lift trucks with attachments like forks, box clamp, roll clamp, or pulp clamp, and high reach, preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks.
• Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness and ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
