The Employment & Training Administration is currently seeking a full-time Job Developer to join their team. The Job Developer will work within the Job Readiness Training Program (JRT) with job seekers/participants and employers to prepare and assist with job placement. Job seekers are referred by Employment and Training (ETA) staff case managers and the Orange County Department of Social Services (DSS). They are receiving public assistance and have been determined to be employable. Participants are enrolled in the program where workshop preparation, online and in-person job search, and follow up activities are organized and led by the Job Developer. The role calls for interaction and contacts with employers to inquire about job openings, placement opportunities, and retention. The essential nature of the work is to assist participants in meeting federal participation work requirements as well as help them to achieve economic independence. Self-starter qualities needed along with maintenance of participant records, data entry and case note activities. Organization and computer skills are required. Candidate must have strong counseling skills to motivate clients and to identify and overcome barriers to achieve compliance with ETA program demands, using a holistic, supportive approach. May include employer and work site visits. This position must be able to travel between the career centers and other sites as needed.
Education & Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an Associate's degree and one (1) year experience working in human services, job training, job placement, human resources, education, social work or related field; or three (3) years equivalent work experience.
Special Requirement: Must be able to ride in van daily with clients.

Salary: $51,880 per annum. This position is contingent upon the continued availability of grant funds.
