Summary
Responsible for providing support to the clients of the CCCS Workforce Development program in all matters related to the training of clients for the purpose of connecting them to employment opportunities. This position works directly with participants to assess career goals, strengthen job search skills, develop employment plans, and connect individuals to workforce resources, training opportunities, and employment opportunities. Incumbents in this classification are expected to engage in activities that will directly empower individuals to achieve financial independence and long-term success.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one career coaching and employment support to program participants.
- Assess participants’ skills, interests, work experience, and employment goals to develop individualized career plans.
- Assist participants with resume development, resume reviews, cover letters, and job application preparation.
- Provide guidance on job search strategies, online employment resources, and career exploration.
- Conduct mock interviews and provide feedback to improve participants’ interview skills and workplace readiness.
- Facilitate job readiness workshops on topics including resume writing, interviewing skills, workplace expectations, professional communication, and career development.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with employers.
- Assist participants with identifying employment opportunities aligned with their skills, experience, and career goals.
- Provide referrals to education, training programs, certifications, and supportive services as needed.
- Maintain regular communication and follow-up with participants to track progress and provide ongoing support.
- Document participant interactions, services provided, and outcomes in accordance with program requirements.
- Collaborate with program staff, community partners, and employers to support participant employment outcomes.
- Support outreach and recruitment efforts to engage eligible participants in workforce services.
- Stay informed about local employment trends, job opportunities, and workforce resources.
- Handle special projects assigned by the supervisor.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are generally 9:00 AM to 5 PM Monday - Friday. Additional hours may be required to meet program deadlines.

- Individuals will use public transportation or traverse city streets, occasionally ascend/descend stairs, and be exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Ability to work with the public.
- Ability to position boxes/items at different levels that weigh up to 25 lbs.
- Remain stationary at a workstation and use a computer at least 50% of the time.
- Potential to carry a laptop to offsite work locations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in the field, bi-lingual English-Spanish preferred
Skills, Licenses, and/or competencies required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong organizational and computer literate.
