Job summary

Avita Property Management is seeking a Leasing Agent to greet prospective tenants, conduct property tours, qualify prospects, and guide them through the leasing process. You will process applications, run background checks, and prepare leases while maintaining accurate records in our property management system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior Class A experience preferred.
• Leasing, sales, customer service or real estate experience preferred.
• Strong communication and sales skills are essential.
• Weekend work and flexible hours may be required.
• Proficiency with property management software and MS Office required.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective tenants in person, by phone, email and online platforms.
• Conduct property tours and present features, amenities and benefits.
• Qualify prospects, explain leasing terms, and close leases.
• Process rental applications, run background and credit checks, and prepare lease documents.
• Maintain leasing records and update property management software.
• Follow up with prospects to maximize occupancy rates.
• Assist with move-ins and move-outs, including unit inspections and key distribution.
• Handle resident questions, concerns and service requests professionally.
• Support marketing efforts such as online listings, signage and events.
• Ensure leasing office and model units are clean, organized and welcoming.
• Comply with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
