Job summary

Avita Property Management LLC in Fort Worth is seeking a Leasing Specialist to attract, tour, and convert prospective tenants into residents. You’ll be the primary contact for prospects, delivering excellent service while supporting occupancy and revenue goals.

Responsibilities include greeting inquiries, presenting community features, processing applications, running background and credit checks, and maintaining leasing records in our property management software. Weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in business, real estate, or hospitality preferred.
• Prior leasing, sales, or real estate experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and sales skills; weekend/flexible hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective tenants and respond to inquiries in person, by phone, email, and online.
• Conduct property tours and present features, amenities, and benefits.
• Qualify prospects, explain leasing terms, and close leases.
• Process rental applications, run background and credit checks, and prepare lease documents.
• Maintain leasing records and update property management software.
• Follow up with prospects to maximize occupancy rates.
• Assist with move-ins/move-outs, including inspections and key distribution.
• Handle resident questions and service requests professionally.
• Support marketing efforts such as online listings and events.
• Ensure leasing office and model units are clean and welcoming.
• Comply with Fair Housing laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in business, real estate, or hospitality preferred
• Preferably with prior Class A, B experience
• Previous leasing, sales, customer service, or real estate experience preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and sales skills
• Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as needed
• Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office (or similar systems)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
