Job Coach / Employment Specialist – Per Diem

Pay: $19–$22/hour (based on education & experience)
Schedule: Flexible, per diem hours in community settings
Location: Groton, CT and surrounding areas (New London county)

We’re on the lookout for passionate, reliable Job Coaches / Employment Specialists to join our R.I.S.E. (Reaching Individual Success & Employment) program. You’ll help individuals with disabilities develop workplace skills, gain independence, and build the confidence that leads to lasting success.

What You’ll Do

As a Job Coach, you’ll work one-on-one with individuals in community job settings to help them learn, adjust, and succeed in their roles. Every day, you’ll see your efforts make a direct difference.

You will
  • Teach and model workplace skills that lead to independence and job success.
  • Assess abilities and strengths, tailoring training to each person’s unique learning style.
  • Coach communication and teamwork skills for success on the job.
  • Develop creative, individualized training plans using adaptive tools or multisensory techniques.
  • Document progress and collaborate with Program Managers to ensure each client thrives.
  • Celebrate victories — big and small — as clients reach milestones toward independence.
What You’ll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 1+ year of experience in human services, job coaching, mentoring, or education. OR Bachelor’s degree and willingness to complete our training program.
  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Be flexible and ready to travel to clients’ workplaces within your local area.
