Job summary

Journey Found, Inc. in South Windsor, CT is seeking a dedicated full-time Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with daily living activities, transportation, and community engagement.

You will work closely with Nurses, Clinical Staff, Directors, and Supervisors to ensure high-quality care within a nonprofit service setting. The role requires a High School diploma, a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience, and completion of MAP; CPR/FA training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Behavioral Management experience or training.
• Must have a valid driver's license and at least 3 years driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (dressing, cooking, bathing, etc.).
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities.
• Document program data and communicate with nursing/clinical staff.

Training Provided

Requirements

• Must have at least a High School Diploma or its equivalent
• Must have at least 3 years driving experience with a valid driver’s license
• Behavioral Management Experience and/or formal training
• Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing
• Will be required to be PMT, CPR, FA and complete DDS Medication Administration Program (MAP)
• Must be free from communicable disease
