EDG Interior Architecture + Design in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Job Captain to lead design development, construction documents, and project coordination for hospitality environments. The Job Captain is responsible for working with the Senior Designer and the Project Manager in the design, detailing, and documentation of a project. The Job Captain works on all phases of design with an emphasis in the Design Development, Construction Document, and Construction Administration phases. Work focuses on construction document production and management, and includes:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
Architectural license or NCIDQ, CCIDC, NCARB, ASID or comparable in-process desirable but not required.
5-7+ years’ extensive experience in all phases of architectural design, including varied experience involving responsible planning and interior design of complex projects. Substantial experience with applications of architectural technology, interior design materials and construction methods. Experience with high-end restaurant and hospitality, or high-end residential design a plus.
Excellent drafting and detailing skills; Revit and AutoCAD proficiency, familiarity with SketchUp, Bluebeam Studio, ChatGPT Pro, Figma preferred; competency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project deadlines and budgets. Ability to be flexible and multi-task. Ability to manager and mentor 2-3 junior staff members.
