Van Meter Williams Pollack, an award‑winning architecture and urban design firm in San Francisco, seeks a Job Captain to lead design development through construction documents, coordinating with the project architect and team.

The role requires five to seven years of professional experience, strong CAD/BIM skills (ArchiCAD preferred; Revit a plus), and excellent communication. California licensure is preferred; a supportive, collaborative office offers growth and benefits.

Qualifications

We are seeking a Job Captain with five to seven years of professional, post‑graduate experience, on the licensure track.
License is a plus.

Responsibilities

Produce design, permitting and construction document packages with direction from the project architect.
Coordinate details and documents with the project team.
Report progress and issues to the project leads as needed.
Assist with construction administration, including RFIs and submittals.
Ensure the team stays on schedule and meets project requirements.
Develop presentation materials to support design and marketing efforts.
May manage a junior staff member.
