Job summary

Steelman Partners LLP is seeking a Job Captain to support architectural and interior architectural projects in our Las Vegas studio. You will lead production of construction documents, coordinate with consultants, and mentor staff to ensure design intent is realized.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s/Professional degree in architecture or interior design, with 5+ years of relevant experience and strong REVIT and AutoCAD proficiency. Join a diverse, dynamic team delivering world-class spaces.

Responsibilities

• Produce complete sets of construction documents.
• Oversee support staff to ensure work is accurate.
• Coordinate documents with specifications to reflect design intent.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractor and owner.
• Assist on code research.
• Support in processing RFI’s and submittals.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings.
• Lead project-related meetings and discussions.
• Mentor team members and direct work.
• Execute construction detailing and documentation.
• Participate in company initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Produce complete sets of construction documents

• Coordinate construction documents with specifications indicating design intent
• Coordinate with consultants, contractor, and owner
• Assist on code research
• Support in processing RFI’s and submittals
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings
• Lead project-related meetings and discussions
• Provide mentorship and be able to direct work to team members
• Execute construction detailing and documentation
• Actively participate in company initiatives

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in REVIT (recent experience)
• Competent in AutoCAD
• Proficient in Model Building Codes & Accessibility Standards
• Ability to think critically, communicate clearly and possess the potential to develop management skills
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, prioritization, organization and follow through
• Agility and flexibility. Must be a team player that can handle multiple tasks
• Desire to work on all phases of a project through construction completion

Education and Experience:
