Job summary

CI&T seeks a DevOps Cloud Engineer to design and govern cloud infrastructure, implement automated pipelines, and enhance observability across applications and platforms. You will collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable software delivery.

The role emphasizes AWS expertise, IaC best practices, and cross-team evangelism of automation, with a focus on security, reliability, and cost-efficiency across CI&T’s cloud footprint.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of production AWS experience.
• Strong Terraform experience and IaC proficiency.
• Experience building GitHub Actions with reusable deployment components.
• Fluent Git workflows in collaborative settings.
• Solid Linux knowledge and troubleshooting in distributed environments.
• Understanding of security, reliability, performance, cost efficiency and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure with an IaC-first approach.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster software delivery.
• Develop observability across apps and infra for health, performance, and security.

DevOps Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Cloud Engineer to become part of our Platform Engineeringteam. You'll play a crucial role in designing our cloud infrastructure and developing tools and automation to equip our development teams to deliver reliable, secure, and performant software often and with confidence. You'll collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and scaling of our applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure to meet our reliability, security, and costefficiency requirements, applying an "IaC-first" approach
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and reduce time-to-market.
• Develop and enhance a comprehensive observability solution across our applications and infrastructure to proactively meet our system health, performance, and security needs
• Help guide and evangelize our best-practice use of the AWS platform across teams
• Ensure our applications meet our production readiness standards and guide usage of observability solutions across all teams
• Provide operational oversight and support for our production infrastructure while ensuring reliability meets service level objectives

Qualifications

• At least three years of production AWS experience with the ability to recommend and implement appropriate services to be used for various workload scenarios
• Strong experience with Terraform
• Experience building GitHub Actions with an emphasis on reusable components that provide consistent deployment paradigms across teams
• Fluent use of Git workflows in a collaborative setting
• Solid knowledge and experience with the Linux platform
• Expert ability to troubleshoot subtle system issues in distributed network environments
• Understanding of enterprise best practices for security, reliability, performance, costefficiency, and operational excellence
• Good understanding of the entire software development lifecycle, including emerging AI-oriented approaches
• Experience with the following technologies is desired: Jenkins scripted pipelines, EKS/Kubernetes, Octopus Deploy, AWS CDK, and Spacelift
• Experience utilizing agile principles and development methodologies to help determine the scope and prioritization of competing needs, taking into account technical debt

Skills and Attributes

• A code-first approach to infrastructure development, deployment automation, and observability instrumentation
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Seek out what is difficult, do it more often, and automate it
