Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a JLVC Database Technician to support the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Pacific (JMSC-P). You will build and sustain JLVC simulation databases, translate exercise requirements into terrain products, and ensure fidelity across simulation platforms.

The role requires 3+ years in simulation database development, knowledge of JTDS or VISTA, and the ability to work with sensitive data on government training environments.

Qualifications

• AS/AA in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geospatial Science, Modeling and Simulation or related discipline, or equivalent
• 3+ years of related experience in simulation database development, modeling and simulation, or related technical discipline
• Experience developing/modifying terrain and database products for military simulations or training systems

Responsibilities

• Build high-fidelity simulation databases representing operational environments
• Apply simulation database standards, terrain attribution and environmental data
• Translate training requirements into terrain and database products
• Create databases with accurate operational data, entities and features
• Conduct data validation and corrective actions to ensure fidelity
• Assist with data formatting and import/export across platforms
• Refine terrain/database products based on feedback and evolving objectives
• Willing to learn and work as part of a team or independently
• Participate in other projects as required
