JLR Level 4 Technician / Shop Foreman

Jaguar Land Rover Columbia is looking for an experienced JLR Level 4 Technician / Shop Foreman to join our service leadership team.

This opportunity is available because our current Level 4 Shop Foreman is being promoted to Service Director—a great example of the career growth available within our organization.

This is not simply another technician position. We are looking for a highly skilled Jaguar Land Rover professional who can diagnose the difficult vehicles, support and develop other technicians, improve shop efficiency, and help us build one of the strongest JLR service departments in the region.

What You'll Do

As our Level 4 Technician / Shop Foreman, you will be a working technical leader in the shop. You'll lead and support the team while continuing to turn your own hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose and repair complex Jaguar and Land Rover concerns

• Maintain personal production while fulfilling Shop Foreman responsibilities

• Serve as the shop's technical resource for difficult diagnostic cases

• Assist technicians with troubleshooting, repair strategy, and technical questions

• Help ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time

• Work closely with Service Advisors and Service Management on difficult or unusual repairs

• Review diagnostic processes and help prevent unnecessary parts replacement

• Assist with technical escalations and JLR technical cases

• Support warranty repair quality and proper documentation

• Help dispatch and prioritize work when needed

• Monitor workflow, technician productivity, efficiency, and quality

• Perform quality-control inspections on appropriate repairs

• Coach and mentor developing technicians

• Help identify training opportunities within the shop

• Maintain a clean, organized, professional working environment

• Promote teamwork and accountability throughout the service department

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate has:

• Jaguar Land Rover Level 4 certification strongly preferred

• Extensive Jaguar and Land Rover diagnostic and repair experience

• Strong electrical and drivability diagnostic ability

• Experience using JLR diagnostic systems, technical information, and factory repair procedures

• Strong understanding of modern vehicle electrical networks and systems

• Ability to diagnose complex concerns rather than simply replace components

• Previous Shop Foreman, Team Leader, or technician mentoring experience preferred

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Excellent documentation and repair-order habits

• Commitment to fixing vehicles correctly and taking care of the client

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Compensation — Built to Reward Leadership AND Production

This is a working Shop Foreman position with multiple components to the compensation plan.

The compensation structure includes:

• Monthly base salary

• Shop production/hour override

• Personal flagged-hour compensation

• Ability to continue producing and earning as a technician while being compensated for the performance of the shop

• Compensation structure designed to reward both individual production and team performance

For a high-performing Level 4 technician, this creates an opportunity to increase earnings by helping the entire shop become more productive, not simply by turning more hours individually.
