Job summary

Magna International Inc. is seeking a production and inventory control professional in Clinton, TN, to optimize scheduling and materials flow for JIT manufacturing. You will coordinate master schedules, manage inventories, and ensure adherence to TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.

The role requires supervisory experience, a BA/BS in a related field, and the ability to work evenings and weekends when needed to meet customer demand. Strong Excel and MRP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years with a degree (or 5-8 years without a degree) supervisory experience.
• Production scheduling/inventory control experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive.
• Evenings and weekends availability when required by customer.
• BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting or Management.
• MRP or MRP II system implementation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the activities of Production and Inventory Control to schedule customer-driven releases and ensure on-time delivery.
• Handle, store, pack, preserve and deliver material and product per control plans and quality standards.
• Control all levels of inventory to assure JIT supply of quality product.
• Schedule production operations to maximum efficiency.
• Coordinate direct reports to ensure timely completion of tasks and safety compliance.
• Translate weekly demand into master schedule for stamping and assembly.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering for planning and trial builds.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety rules per TS16949 & ISO14001.
