Job summary

Magna is seeking a Production Planning Supervisor to lead the Production and Inventory Control department. You will schedule production, manage inventories, and coordinate with engineering to ensure JIT delivery and 100% on-time performance.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of supervisory experience with a degree or 5–8 years without, and strong MRP/MRP II and Excel skills. APICS preferred. Local travel may be required; evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years with a degree or 5–8 years without a degree in supervisory roles.
• Production scheduling/inventory control experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive.
• APICS certification or knowledge is preferred.
• MRP/MRP II; scheduling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Production and Inventory Control to support JIT manufacturing and on-time delivery.
• Schedule production operations for maximum efficiency and coordinate with direct reports.
• Manage physical inventories and ensure accuracy and control plans are followed per TS16949 & ISO14001.
• Coordinate old program builds and new program start-ups with manufacturing and engineering.
• Ensure effective communication with team members and customers; resolve problems promptly.
