Job summary

Sharp Decisions is seeking a temporary JIRA Specialist to optimize the post-migration JIRA environment from the backend and align workflows with business processes. This hands-on role involves reworking configurations while coordinating with Digital Marketing, IT, and vendor partners to implement standardized conventions and clearer reporting.

You will document refined workflows and deliver lightweight guides to ensure long-term adoption after the engagement.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on JIRA administration/configuration — reworking workflows, issue types, permissions, boards, dashboards, and reporting.
Strong grasp of Agile/sprint delivery and translating team processes into backend workflow design.
Proven ability to assess an existing setup and improve it, not just build from scratch.
Proven ability to coordinate process alignment across internal teams, IT, and external vendors in a governed enterprise environment.
Excellent documentation and stakeholder-communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assess post-migration JIRA configuration and improve backend workflows (Story, Task/Sub-task, Bug) and environment tagging.
Standardize conventions for issue types, priority vs. severity, and sprint accountability.
Coordinate process optimizations with Digital Marketing, IT, and vendors to align workflows.
Improve dashboards, boards, filters, and reporting for clearer progress visibility.
Document refined workflows and provide lightweight guides for sustainment.
